Amishav for the Dispersed of Israel is an Israeli nonprofit organization dedicated to reconnecting with the lost ten tribes of Israel, mainly focusing on the Pashtuns of Afghanistan. Pashtuns are Tribal people located in Central Asia who have an ancient tradition of being descendants of Yaaqov avinu.

In the video below Zareef, a Pashtun human rights activist from Afghanistan and a proud representative of Bani Israel, recounts how he learned of his Israelite origin and what it means to him today.

Currently we are

Helping persecuted Pashtuns escape Taliban.

We are currently working with a group of high-ranking Pashtuns, some of them are former government officials who lost their jobs due to Taliban taking over the country. Although it’s been almost a year since the overthrow of the government in Afghanistan, our friends are still in great danger, wanted by the terrorists. In constant hiding, fearing for their lives, wondering how much time they have left until they are captured. They must get out, please help us help them: donate or support a campaign launched by our friends from Redeem The Oppressed.

Teaching the Israelite tradition

We were approached by several Pashtuns who want to know more about history and traditions of our ancestors. We have created a course in Pashto to help them learn more about their origins; it is available here and on our YouTube channel.

Exploring the Art of Diplomacy

At Amishav we believe that both Afghanistan and Israel would benefit greatly from establishing diplomatic relations. With the help of social media we are working on improving a general image of Israel in the eyes of Afghans, battling lies spread by the antisemites. Our message is simple: Jews and Afghans were never enemies.

Helping the Anousim of Spain and Portugal return.

We are happy to join the Ezra L'Anousim non-profit to help descendants of the Jewish victims of the Spanish inquisition, as well as modern Crypto-Jews return to their roots and, eventually, their land. We are keeping in touch with numerous Jewish communities across the globe who are ready to welcome, teach and guide those who can provide a proof of Jewish ancestry. We are also working closely with prominent Orthodox Rabbis and Orthodox Jewish Courts willing to provide religious services such as conversion, or return (depending on the proof provided), Torah lessons and more. If you have a proof of Jewish ancestry and want to return to the faith of your fathers, contact us now.
